Privacy policy

Short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and has no accounts, comments, forms or newsletter. The only personal data we receive is what you send us by email.

Who is responsible

Ballroom Dance Planet is run by its editor, Janet Bertels. You can reach us at hello@ballroomdanceplanet.com.

Hosting

The site is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don’t use that data to identify visitors. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Search statistics

We use Google Search Console to see which searches lead to the site. It reports totals from Google’s own search results, such as how often a page appeared and was clicked. Nothing is installed on this site for it, and it doesn’t tell us who you are.

Emails you send us

If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply and to act on what you reported, such as a correction. We don’t add you to any list or share your message. Ask us and we’ll delete it.

Fonts and other sites

Fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service. Guides link to sources and other sites; their privacy practices are their own.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. In practice that means your emails to us. Write to the address above and we’ll answer.

Changes

If we add anything that changes what is collected, such as analytics, a contact form or affiliate links, we’ll update this page and its date first.
